And Gently Guided Into Greatness in the Winery”

Sloan attributes the distinctness of the wines he crafts to time spent in vineyards, with pruning sheers in hand. His career began as a sommelier and moved to the land, not the cellar, first. After absorbing all he could in the vineyards of France, Paul brought back a new vision and began with his own vineyard management company (Small Vines Viticulture – with clients like DuMol and Ontario’s own Pearl Morissette).

Pushing the envelop of new thinking from Old World inputs, focusing on all-encompassing, traditional farming techniques, Sloan incorporates biodynamic, organic, and sustainable practices to VERY intense vine spacing. read more
