Each week I like to choose a new wine to introduce to our fans. These wines vary by region, by varietal and even by price. I don’t think cost and value are necessarily related. So I like to focus on wines I have experienced on my travels and I think our fans will enjoy trying. salut!

Sloan attributes the distinctness of the wines he crafts to time spent in vineyards, with pruning sheers in hand. His career began as a sommelier and moved to the land, not the cellar, first. After absorbing all he could in the vineyards of France, Paul brought back a new vision and began with his own vineyard management company (Small Vines Viticulture – with clients like DuMol and Ontario’s own Pearl Morissette).
Pushing the envelop of new thinking from Old World inputs, focusing on all-encompassing, traditional farming techniques, Sloan incorporates biodynamic, organic, and sustainable practices to VERY intense vine spacing. read more
